Michael Nelms is a serial entrepreneur and we discussed how his paper route as a child prepared him to launch his medical business after graduating from Howard University. We look to the November ruling by the FMCSA to see how independent dispatch agencies will be affected. Our industry is changing fast and "you have to be ready to pivot before you are forced to pivot". Nelms did not have the opportunity to learn from someone when he entered the trucking industry many years ago and was forced to learn things through trials and also by being taken advantage of. It is these trying times that gave him the wisdom he uses today to make his decisions.
